Volunteer Van Driver Wanted

Help Deliver Food, Hope & Community Support

Burnt Oak Community Food Bank is looking for a dedicated Volunteer Van Driver to drive our community van and collect surplus food and essential provisions from our valued partner organisations across Harrow, Barnet and neighbouring boroughs.

This is a vital role that helps rescue good food from going to waste and ensures it reaches individuals, families and local charities who need it most.

What skills do I need?

• Full UK clean driving licence (confident driving a medium-sized van) 

• Reliable, punctual and organised 

• Friendly and community-focused 

• Able to assist with loading and unloading crates (where required) 

• Available on a regular weekday basis (flexible hours can be discussed)

About SAFA CIC

Under the umbrella of SAFA (Skills, Advice Food Aid), Burnt Oak Community Food Bank delivers a fortnightly food bank for individuals and families facing food insecurity. Alongside food support, clients can access health and wellbeing programmes, employment and debt advice and meaningful volunteering opportunities that helps build confidence, skills and community connections. We also operate as a food hub, supplying surplus food and essential provisions to local charities and community organisations, helping to ensure that the communities they serve do not go without.
