Men's Support Worker

As a men's volunteer support worker, you’ll play a vital role in supporting men experiencing poverty, at risk of homelessness, homeless or rough sleeping. They may be men who have experienced a range of challenges, including mental health struggles, and alcohol or substance misuse. This is a deeply person-centred role where you’ll take the time to understand each individual’s story, assess their needs, and co-create tailored support plans that leads to a lasting change in their circumstances.

You’ll be a trusted advocate, helping men navigate complex challenges and access safe, stable housing. From building relationships to celebrating milestones, you’ll be there every step of the way on their journey toward independence and recovery.

What skills do I need?

Experience working with people who may have complex needs and/or challenging behaviours.

Lived experience of homelessness is desirable.

Our services operates monthly every 1st Tuesday and Thursday of the month, increasing by demand as required. We require volunteers that can commit to support us one either of these days.
