Role Overview:
Bridge Street Gardens is in the heart of Pinner. It has been neglected in recent years and in 2024 a small team came together to regenerate the Gardens in conjunction with Harrow Council. We have also worked in conjunction with Harrow Litter Pickers to keep the area clean.
We are now seeking a passionate and experienced Volunteer Head Gardener to lead the on-site work of regenerating the valuable green space. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong horticultural knowledge and leadership skills to make a meaningful impact in a community-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and coordinate a team of volunteer gardeners and liaise with Harrow Green team.
• Plan and oversee planting, pruning, and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure the health and presentation of lawns, flower beds, trees, and shrubs.
• Provide guidance, and support to volunteers of varying skill levels.
• Monitor and manage garden tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Be part of a team contributing to the improvement of the garden areas.
