Food collection Driver

We are looking for a reliable and friendly Food Collection Driver to support RCCT’s Food Hub and Warm Hub. The role involves collecting surplus and donated food from local shops, supermarkets, cafés and restaurants and safely transporting it back to RCCT for use within our community services.

The driver will work with local food businesses to collect available food, ensuring it is handled and transported safely and efficiently. The food collected will help provide meals, food parcels and refreshments for local people who use the Food Hub and Warm Hub. A van will be provided.

What skills do I need?

• A full, valid driving licence and confidence driving locally.
• Reliable, punctual and organised.
• Friendly and approachable with good communication skills.
• Able to lift and carry food boxes and supplies.
• Awareness of food safety and willingness to follow RCCT procedures.
• A commitment to supporting local people and reducing food waste.
