Social Organiser Volunteer for Harrow Cycle Hub

Harrow Cycle Hub is a community-based charity whose stakeholders include users of the services, volunteers, staff, councillors and officers of Harrow Council, health and social care services, partner voluntary organisations, funders, local employers and sponsors.

The Hub now needs a Social Organiser who will strengthen the commitment of stakeholders by defining and delivering an annual programme of social events geared to the needs of volunteers and service users.

What skills do I need?

Enthusiasm for cycling and the Hub’s Vision

• Competent use of IT skills
• Understanding of the need for confidentiality in handling contact details
• Excellent self-organisation
• Good communication skills
• High level of literacy and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a team with other volunteers
• Willing to provide references and undertake an Enhanced DBS check

Harrow Cycle Hub is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) which aims to enable more people to cycle in Harrow. Wheels for All is the Hub's Inclusive Cycling programme to enable all abilities to cycle and give everyone access to cycling. Cycling is fun and Wheels for All enable people with mobility impairments and disabilities to experiencem them freedom and joy ofm cycling.

The time commitment will be subject to your availability and the rate at which your availability allows you to develop a social programme. - There will be peaks of activity around specific social events - You are encouraged to develop a support network to assist you - Attendance at the Steering Group meetings which happen every two months at 7.30pm on the first Wednesday of the month, online or in person
