Sports and Activities Sessions Support

Ignite Youth

At Ignite Youth, we create safe spaces where young people can show up, be themselves and grow in confidence. Our sports and activity sessions are lively, fun and vibrant places where young people come together to be active, creative and build relationships with trusted adults.

We’re looking for volunteers who want to be part of that.

You don’t need to be a coach or expert - just someone who’s positive, reliable and up for getting involved.

What you’ll be doing

Supporting fun, energetic sports and activity sessions (basketball, games, fitness, etc.)

Helping set up, pack away and keep sessions running smoothly

Encouraging young people to join in and feel included

Building positive relationships - chatting, listening, showing up consistently

Working alongside our youth workers to create a safe and welcoming space

What skills do I need?

What we’re looking for

Someone friendly, approachable and easy to talk to;

Enjoys being active and getting stuck in

Comfortable working as part of a team

Positive attitude and a willingness to learn

No experience? No problem.

If you care about young people and want to make a difference, we’ll support you with the rest. Training, guidance and a team that’s got your back included. Please send your CV to [email protected]

About Ignite Youth

Ignite Youth, is a youth charity dedicated to working with children and young people, aged 11 to 25 in Harrow and surrounding boroughs, helping them re-engage with education, secure employment, and move away from anti-social behaviour, gang involvement and exploitative relationships. Our Vision A community where young people can turn adversity into advantage. We achieve this through: Engagement: Making meaningful contact with young people through activity and education-based programmes. Empowerment: Challenging values and behaviour, equipping young people with tools, resources, and opportunities to make positive choices. Transformation: Supporting young people to change the direction of their lives away from negative influences, raising aspirations, and setting goals for the future. Our work includes mentoring, sports and activity sessions, employment and education support and outreach work, all designed to build positive relationships and empower children and young people.
