Weekly work parties in Pinner Village Gardens

Our main work is a mixture of weeding, pruning, planting and trimming with other tasks such as litter picking, leaf removal, watering etc thrown in from time to time.  There is something for all ages, energy and skill levels, so do join us.

We run weekly work parties in PVG on alternate Tuesdays and Fridays. They ususally run from 09.30 until lunchtime, although help for just part of the time is always welcome.  We provide tools and guidance.  Please wear stout footwear and bring liquid refreshment, and in sunny periods headgear and sunscreen.  We can provide you with gloves if you don't have your own.

Guidance is always given so don't worry if you are a novice.  Experienced gardeners are very welcome.

Unfortunately we cannot accept people under 18 unless under the direct supervison of a parent and then only by arrangerment.

What skills do I need?

Enthusiasm is the main requirement.  We can teach you the rest as needed!

About Friends of Pinner Village Gardens

Established in 2015, we carry out most of the day to day maintenance and new planting at Pinner Village Gardens. FoPVG is responsible for transforming the park over the last few years into a destination for users and vistors. The mowing and litter emptying is undertaken by Harrow Council's Green Team with whom we work in close co-operation.

Once you have started, you are free to help in the park at any time to suit you, as at least one of our regulars will be in the park much of the week.
