Wheels for All Volunteer at Harrow Cycle Hub

Opportunity to help people with disabilities cycle.  Wheels for All is a fun inclusive cycling programme for everyone (age 4 upwards) to cycle who find traditional two wheelers difficult as well as providing a safe off road space to cycle two wheelers.  

We have a growing fleets of adapted cycles such as trikes, handcycles, side by side cycles and a wheelchair transporter.  Volunteers help to set up the sessions, greet riders and check clothing, cycle or walk along with riders, develop a rapport and encourage riders and liaise with Session Leader of cycle.

This is a voluntary role and is unpaid, but it's fun and very rewarding.

What skills do I need?

• Friendly Personality
• Able to cycle  but more importantly enthusiatic about enabling others cycling
• Safety and Risk Conscious
• Good Verbal Communciation Skills
• Experience disability is helpful but a willingness to learn/help is more important

Wheels for All is the Hub's Inclusive Cycling programme to enable all abilities to cycle and give everyone access to cycling.
