Trustee with Legal Experience

Harrow Cycle Hub

We need a Trustee with legal experience to add their analytical skills to the Board. In the

next two years we plan to build a new cycle hub for Harrow in one of the parks. Trustees

will need to protect the charity’s interests and ensure that we create the best facility for

residents within a budget. The approach of a trustee with legal training will help the Board to

evaluate its options and make good choices. We expect to brief legal services on a pro bono

basis (recently A&O Shearman have supported the Hub); the trustee would supervise these

relationships as part of the Development Committee.

To be a Trustee of Harrow Cycle Hub is a fulfilling role. We are building a Board with

individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds, experiences and skill sets. All Harrow Cycle

Hub Trustees work to ensure that the charity fulfils its mission to enable everyone in

Harrow who wishes to cycle, to do so. The role of Trustee is voluntary, but out-of-pocket

expenses may be claimed according to the Volunteering Policy.

We especially welcome applications from disabled people and people of Global Majority

communities who live in Harrow; people from these groups make up most of the

participants in our services. Our meetings take place in Harrow Council Hub which is

accessible.
