Community Sandwich & Cake Maker

Community ConneX

Who doesn't love cakes? We are looking for someone to help create a welcoming, homely and nourishing environment by preparing simple sandwiches and cakes for monthly community lunch events. Your contribution helps people feel cared for, included and part of something positive. Up to 40 attendees for lunch. (There are always other volunteers to help and support)

When: 2nd Wednesday of each month, 10am – 1pm

Location: Fairfield Church, Windsor Close, Northwood HA6 1PD (occasionally we may have to change venue)

What You’ll Do

• Prepare a selection of sandwiches (e.g., cheese, egg, tuna, vegetarian options) for our social lunch sessions.

• Bake or bring cakes, traybakes or simple desserts for participants to enjoy.

• Follow basic food hygiene guidance (we will provide support and training if needed).

• Work alongside staff and volunteers to set up food for serving.

• Help create a friendly, relaxed atmosphere where people feel welcome.

• Support our mission to reduce isolation and bring people together.
